I’m Francesca Wehr, LCSW, a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. As the founder of Francesca Wehr, LCSW Mental Health Counseling, I’ve worked in private practice, non-profits, and New Jersey’s System of Care, providing personalized, evidence-based support to clients from all walks of life.

I specialize in trauma-focused therapy, blending EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, mindfulness, and somatic techniques to help regulate the nervous system, process emotions, and build resilience. Our work together will focus on self-regulation to manage triggers and co-regulation for couples, strengthening emotional connection and communication. I also provide psychoeducation to help you make sense of your experiences and develop strategies to support long-term healing.

In addition to my clinical expertise, I’m a certified Nurtured Heart Parent Coach and an NJ School Social Worker, supporting children, adolescents, and families in improving emotional regulation and communication. I also use the Gottman Method to help couples break unhealthy cycles and create deeper, more fulfilling relationships.

My journey to therapy

My journey to becoming the therapist I am today has been profoundly shaped by my personal experiences.

As a child, my therapist was a true inspiration. She equipped me with the tools to navigate life's challenges, and this experience motivated me to pursue a career dedicated to providing similar support to others.
